MA Programmes
There are many MA taught programmes available at the University of Manchester, which cover topics relevant to cultural heritage and feature teaching and supervision by Chimera members. Although our MA programmes tend to be located in specific discipline areas or centres, the structure of the Manchester MA allows students to build a portfolio of course units relevant to their particular interests. For instance, students can register for the MA programmes in Archaeology or Social Anthropology, but opt to take up to 30 credits from the MA programme in Art Gallery & Museum Studies (AGMS), or vice versa. Students are also able to build up cross-disciplinary teams to supervise their MA dissertations.
If you would like to pursue an MA with a focus on cultural heritage, memory and identity it is a good idea to contact a member of the Chimera team to discuss your plans. We also plan to develop a dedicated Chimera MA programme and further information will be posted here in due course.
