Careers

student graduation

Graduates from Combined Studies enter a wide range of graduate careers. Our annual destinations survey shows that recent graduates have gone onto postgraduate study or professional training, for example teaching or law, and careers in the media, publishing, performance, marketing, public relations and event management as well as more traditional areas such as human resources, accountancy, management consultancy and investment banking.

A Combined Studies degree equips students with skills that are sought by employers. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, analytical, presentation and listening skills, are key amongst these. Combined Studies students also develop strong organisational skills as a result of studying subjects across a range of disciplines.

Students and recent graduates benefit from the University's award winning careers service. This is based in Crawford House, Booth Street East (opposite the Aquatic Centre), Tel 0161 275 2829 www.manchester.ac.uk/careers.
