PebblePAD PDP (Personal Development Plan)
Your online Personal Development Plan will help you record and reflect on your progress through university. Current students can log onto their PebblePAD PDP here.
It encourages you to focus on your skills as a learner and to take responsibility for your own skill development. It is primarily about assessing your own skills, setting goals for improvement, recording your achievements and reflecting on your experiences at the University of Manchester. The information you collect here should help you identify your strengths and weakness and help you, in the future, draw up CV for use in applications for jobs and voluntary activities. The Personal Development Plan is your property. No-one can read your entries, unless you choose to share them.
Personal development planning encourages you to:
- Reflect and plan for your own development
- Understand you own strengths and weaknesses
- To articulate and evidence past and present experience
- Manage your Combined Studies course
- Set targets
- To identify opportunities for learning beyond your Combined Studies course
- Use evidence to write CVs
- Be aware of how course unit choices may influence career opportunities
