Combined Studies Virtual Café

The Virtual Café gives Combined Studies students the opportunity to discuss issues and share ideas with other Combined Studies students. In the Virtual Café, you can:

  • Read and post messages in subject based discussion areas
  • Find out (or organise) social events
  • Contribute to general discussions on such issues as using the library or managing two or more subject areas
  • Check the calendar for important postings from the Combined Studies Centre
  • Find support for the peer mentoring programme and contact the Peer Mentor Co-ordinator
  • Send messages to other Combined Studies students
  • Access study skills resources for Combined Studies students.

All second and final year Combined Studies students can use the Virtual Café, by first logging onto WebCT at http://webct.manchester.ac.uk (using your standard university username and password).

You can access the Virtual Café on the computers in the university clusters or from your home computer. All you need is an internet connection.

This is a new resource for Combined Studies students, and its development and success will depend on your input, ideas and contributions.
