The University of Manchester offers a range of hands-on, interactive programmes for primary-aged children, which introduce young learners to higher education.
The Children's University of Manchester is the overarching term for a coordinated set of activities and web-based resources targeted at Key Stage 2 learners.
The programme aims to provide an insight into, and awareness of, higher education through exploration of the people, the subjects and the social / cultural aspects of university.
This programme includes in-school Roadshows, on-campus Higher Education Awareness Days, and the Children's University of Manchester website.
This programme is delivered by the central UG Recruitment and Widening Participation Team. Academics and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Humanities regularly feed in subject-specific workshops and tasters to this programme.
