Academic Services
The Academic Services Team has been established to support the Associate Deans in their work, and to provide support and guidance for Schools in the following areas:
- research
- undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes
- eLearning
- postgraduate research
- skills training and development
- quality assurance and enhancement
The Team is also responsible for the Faculty stages of the Academic Appeals, Discipline and Complaints Procedures for students.
The Team works in a collaborative way across all of the Academic Services portfolio as the areas are all interconnected, and quality assurance and enhancement pervades the entire teaching and learning agenda. Academic Services is also works in an integrated way with other areas of the Faculty administration.
The Team does not intend to be prescriptive in any of these areas, but to work with the Schools in establishing consistent procedures and developing policy to enable the Faculty as a whole to contribute fully to the Manchester 2015 agenda. The Team will work closely with administrative colleagues in the Faculty and the University and with relevant academic and administrative colleagues in Schools in pursuit of these objectives and will identify areas of good practice which can be shared across the Faculty.
