Humanities senior academics discuss the value of social science

Professor Keith Brown, Vice-President and Dean, and Professor Colette Fagan, Deputy Dean (and Associate Dean for Research), will take part in a debate discussing the value of social science to the UK’s society and economy.
The debate is part of The Business of People campaign which aims to raise awareness of the important of social science in the run up to the general election in May. Also taking part in the debate will be Professor James Wilsdon, Professor of Science and Democracy at Sussex University, who is the Chair of the Campaign.
The event is taking place on Wednesday, 22 April from 12.30 to 2pm, in the Cordingley Lecture Theatre, Humanities Bridgeford Street. A lunch will be served from 12.30pm with the main session starting at 1pm. There will be a chance for staff to speak to campaign representatives after 2pm.
