NSS and PTES: Last Push
(20 April 2015)
The National Student Satisfaction Survey (NSS) and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) are closing on Thursday, 30 April 2015. Staff from across the Faculty are encouraged to remind students to fill in these surveys so their feedback is heard. The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is open until Thursday, 14 May.
The National Student Survey (NSS) currently has a response rate of 62.77% which is down on the same time last year at 70.15%. The NSS is hugely important as it goes on to form the basis of many league tables.
The PTES and PRES provide the University with important information which help us improve courses, facilities and the overall student experience. The NSS is also hugely important as student satisfaction rankings are often very influential of the choices of prospective students. The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey currently has a response rate of 27% for on campus and distance learners, 3% below the target response rate.
Students will have received a personal link to the PTES and PRES by email and can also access it through My Manchester. If students are having difficulties accessing the questionnaire please encourage them to contact: firstname.lastname@example.org. Students wishing to complete the NSS simply need to log onto the NSS website.
