Launch of new Faculty of Humanities Doctoral Studentships
(1 April 2016)
The five Schools across the Faculty have come together to offer 50 additional fully-funded doctoral studentships to outstanding candidates planning to conduct rigorous, creative and original research in the Arts and Humanities subject areas.
Successful candidates will have access to the world-class methods training and comprehensive researcher development training for which the Faculty is known, supporting them to become intellectual leaders within academia and beyond.
Maja Zehfuss, Associate Dean for Postgraduate Research, said: “These awards show the value that the Faculty places on postgraduate research. We have decided to invest in these studentships in order to advance our strategic aim of attracting outstanding PGR students in the arts and humanities from around the world to pursue their research at The University of Manchester. Working with excellent new researchers is something that many of us enjoy, and this new investment will allow us to enhance the contribution our PGR students make to research.”
The Studentships are available for entry in September 2016, and have a closing date of Friday 29 April.
