Receive your carbon literacy certificate

(14 December 2016)

The University has been named the first Carbon Literate university in the world, as the 10,000 Actions programme is an accredited carbon literacy programme.

This means that if you take part in 10,000 Actions you can receive your own carbon literacy certificate after completing a questionnaire to demonstrate your knowledge of sustainability.

  • You can apply for a certificate on StaffNet.

Over 8,000 actions have been pledged so far as part of 10,000 Actions, the biggest environmental sustainability project in higher education. It takes around an hour to complete the programme and you do not have to do it all in one go as the system saves your progress.

To add your actions, visit 10,000 Actions

For every completed action plan, £1 will be donated towards planting Heroes Wood in Gorton, a World War One centenary woodland to commemorate the involvement of Mancunians in the First World War.
