IT Transformation and staff changes
(29 January 2015)
The IT Transformation has begun and the IT staff who were in the Humanities ICT Office have now moved to their new roles within IT Services. However, as the process is ongoing many staff are still carrying out the same duties.
Guy Percival is the IT partner for Humanities, as well as a member of the IT Leadership Team, and will continue to provide a link between the two groups.
As part of the IT transformation project, John Smith has moved to a new role as IT Relationship Manager with the specific brief of Humanities research activity. He is also in charge of the IT elements related to bids for research funding including costing of IT elements.
There are various other changes related to the transformation:
- Dave Risley who was previously in charge of the Development Team has now retired;
- Paul Johnston is moving roles and will be based in the Faculty of Life Sciences; and
- Richard Walters left the University at the end of January.
All queries for IT should still be directed to the service desk on: 0161 306 5544.
