Funding for Social Responsibility in the Curriculum

(9 January 2015)

Could you improve your course by adding a social responsibility element, such as an external visit or placement, innovative use of technology or creation of course materials that promote students’ work to non-university audiences?

Any course unit leader of a level two or three UG course can submit a proposal to the Social Responsibility in the Curriculum competition, to receive funding to help develop an existing module or incorporate a social responsibility emphasis in a new module.

The aim is for students to be encouraged to think how their enthusiasm for their subject can communicate, connect or be relevant beyond the immediate demands of their course. Proposals that develop a whole course with this emphasis are welcomed, as are proposals that only orientate one aspect of a course towards social responsibility.

Please see the Humnet Social Responsibility pages for further information and an application form.

The deadline for applications is 23 January 2015 and decisions will be communicated by early March 2015.
