P&DR for PSS staff

The new Performance & Development Review (P&DR) process is now underway for PSS staff across the University.

Staff who are reviewers (ie conduct P&DRs) or senior reviewers (ie line-manage reviewers) must attend a mandatory training session. Anyone who has not yet done so should sign up for one of the remaining dates as soon as possible as places are limited.

Reviewees (ie who take part in their own P&DR, but do not deliver one) are encouraged to take advantage of the online reviewee training that is available, but this is not compulsory.

PSS staff within the Faculty are strongly encouraged to participate in the P&DR process, and so it is mandatory for all line managers to offer one. Any new staff joining the Faculty should be notified to Richard Seeley, Faculty Strategic Planning Manager, so that they can be activated on the system. Equally, any staff movements that result in a new reviewer or senior reviewer should be notified to Richard so that the appropriate work flow can be set up within the system. 

It may also now be timely to review your local induction processes to ensure there is a process by which each new employee’s PDR reviewer and senior reviewer is designated and shared with the employee.

Staff who cannot access the P&DR system should notify their line manager in the first instance. Unresolved issues should be escalated to Richard Seeley.
