New MBS hotels announced
(2 March 2015)
The Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites have been announced by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) as the two hotels to be built by Bruntwood as part of the Manchester Business School (MBS).
The two hotels will connect to the new two-storey Executive Education Centre, which will be home to the MBS corporate leadership and management programmes. Combined they will provide over 300 rooms for visitors to the University.
Professor Fiona Devine, Head of MBS, said: “In our 50th anniversary year I am delighted that the development of the hotels and our new Executive Education Centre is progressing so well. Our aim is to provide high end accommodation that will have wider benefits for visitors to The University of Manchester, the city and region.
“The Staybridge Suites hotel in particular offers a range of benefits to our Executive Education and Global MBA delegates who are often in Manchester for extended periods. Offering longer stays means guests can combine business trips with leisure and are able to visit Manchester and other areas in the North West.”
