Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences announced

Three Humanities academics have joined a total of 42 leading social scientists from across the UK to be elected as Fellows this year.
Professor Sue Heath (School of Social Sciences, SoSS), Professor Christopher Humphrey (Alliance Manchester Business School, Alliance MBS) and Professor Debora Price (SoSS) have joined a distinguished group of social scientists to be conferred as Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, the national academy of academics, learned societies and practitioners in the social sciences.
- Sue Heath, Professor of Sociology, is a sociologist and social policy expert in the field of housing needs and young people.
- Christopher Humphrey, Professor of Accounting, is a leading figure globally in auditing and accounting research, with a particular interest in interdisciplinary and international aspects of auditing and accounting.
- Debora Price, Professor of Social Gerontology, has an international reputation for her work on inequalities and poverty in later life.
