New Associate Dean Social Responsibility

Professor Kenneth McPhail, Chair of Accounting within Manchester Business School, has been appointed to the role of Associate Dean, Social Responsibility.
The Associate Dean for Social Responsibility is responsible for leading the further development and ongoing implementation of the Faculty of Humanities’ strategies for social responsibility, external engagement, equality and diversity and environmental sustainability in accordance with the University’s overall strategy. Ken will be working closely with the Faculty Senior Management Team and the School Directors for External Relations and Social Responsibility, as well as stakeholders both within the University and outside, to deliver a range of objectives.
Ken was appointed Professor of Accounting in MBS in September of this year. His research interests lie principally in the area of corporate accountability and ethics, a topic on which he has lectured and published widely and his expertise in this field has been recognised internationally.
Commenting on his recent appointment Ken said: "I’m really excited to be taking up the Associate Dean Social Responsibility post. Although I joined the University only relatively recently I’m already aware of some fantastic work going on across the Faculty. I’m really looking forward to working with colleagues to further develop and implement the Faculty's Social Responsibility goals."
