Policy Week 2015

This year’s Policy Week will be taking place from 2 - 6 November 2015. The theme is Science, Technology and Public Policy and the event is part of the Manchester European City of Science 2016. Registration for the mainly free events is now open and you can book your tickets now.
The week will be kicked off by David Willetts, former Minister for Universities and Science, who will deliver the keynote address, examining the impact that technology is set to have on higher education. The week will include a talk from Professor David Nutt, the chief drug adviser to Gordon Brown’s government, as well as workshops and film screenings.
Academics from the University will take part in various panels across the week showcasing the impact of science and technology on topics including healthcare, poverty, energy, climate change, the arts and the Northern Powerhouse.
