North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership conference
(15 October 2015)
The University of Manchester led this month’s North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership conference, which was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). It attracted around 120 students, not only from the seven institutions represented in the partnership but from across the UK, including several from other doctoral training partnerships.
The conference aimed to demonstrate the astonishing breadth of research supported by the AHRC, with over forty papers in disciplines ranging from creative writing to international law. There were also poster presentations and exhibits from practice-based researchers in the creative arts.
The North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership is led by The University of Manchester and was awarded £14 million by the AHRC to train a new generation of skilled researchers.
