Research Review Exercise launches 9 January 2017
(28 October 2016)
Please can all eligible academic staff be aware that the Research Review Exercise(RRE) will launch on Monday 9 January, when you will be asked to select outputs for review, and to update your ‘Activities’ (previously esteem) and ‘Impact’ in Pure. (The launch has been delayed as it was dependant on Elsevier delivering new functionality to Pure, which includes new researcher profiles and an updated Activities module.)
The deadline for academics to complete the RRE will be Monday 30 January. A snapshot of data in Pure will be taken on the morning of the following day. No changes in Pure after that time will be reflected in this year’s RRE. Full guidance on completing the RRE in Pure will be available for eligible staff in January.
Get ready for the new researcher profiles now – check your research outputs are in Pure
Later this year all researchers will move to managing their external University profile via Pure. In preparation for this transition, you are encouraged to review your profile information in Pure and set the visibility of your profile to be publicly available. This can be done before the RRE launch in January.
The new Activities module will be released towards the end of the year and academics will be able to update this to display on their research profile. However, we are not advising you to update Activities now, given the upcoming change.
- You can log in to Pure via the Pure webpages.
