Support and advice on securing funding
(3 September 2015)
This October two seminars will run offering support and advice to academic researchers on how to secure funding. The seminars will bring together both internal and external experts to help guide you through this increasingly important process.
Early Career Researcher Seminar on Wednesday, 14th October 2015 will look at the role of research grants in your academic career, introduce you to a number of opportunities and familiarise you with the Research Support Services.
Faculty Funding Workshop on Wednesday, 21st October 2015 will be an all-day seminar on funding which is open to all Humanities academic staff. Sessions will include presentations both from major funders showcasing their upcoming calls in 2016, and colleagues who have been successful in applying for strategic grants; as well as sessions on Impact, Pathways to Impact and Business Engagement. The afternoon session will give the opportunity to speak with funders for advice, as well as colleagues from the University Research Support Team representing Impact, EU applications, Business Engagement and colleagues from each School’s Research Support Hub.
Both events are organised by the Manchester Business School and will take place in the Kanaris Lecture Theatre at Manchester Museum. Instructions about how to book a place will be sent out from each School Research Office in September 2015. For queries please contact Louise Murphy.
