SALC colleague elected to the Saxon Academy of Sciences

Dr Philipp Rössner, School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, has been elected to the Saxon Academy of Sciences (Sächsische Akademie der Wissenschaften). The Academy is an association of scholars who aim to serve the public good by furthering the sciences, extending and deepening scientific knowledge through research, and stimulating and fostering scientific investigations and projects.
Philipp, seen on the left of the photograph, was elected into the Junges Forum of the Saxon Academy of Sciences, a subsection for mid-career scholars who have not yet been appointed to a chair, for his outstanding contributions to scholarship on the economic history of early modern Europe and the history of the Reformation.
