Vital Topics: Smart Cities – Solutions for tomorrow’s world

(21 February 2017)

The next Alliance Manchester Business School Vital Topics event takes place this Thursday, 23 February.

The event is entitled Solutions for Tomorrow’s World: How do you solve infrastructure problems before they become a threat?Futurologists and leading figures on transport, infrastructure and energy will explore what solutions there are to our burgeoning urban hubs.

As part of this event, Interface and Oliver Heath Design will be creating a fascinating multi-sensory Biophilic Design installation on the ground floor of University Place.

Biophilia, meaning ‘a love of nature’, is a subject at the forefront of sustainable design thinking. The installation will demonstrate how taking a human-centred approach to the design of the workplace and improving the human connection to nature, can create distinct and tangible business advantages. These include a rise in productivity, creativity and wellbeing with a decrease in absenteeism and presenteeism.

Come and visit to find out how buildings are becoming smarter, happier and healthier...naturally.

5.45pm-6.30pm: Registration, drinks reception and installation viewing
6.30pm-7.50pm: Panel debate followed by audience Q&A
