SALC graduates planning this weekend’s Ramadan Tent Project
(8 June 2017)
Three Religions and Theology graduates, Fatimah Nazir, Sidra Iftikhar, and Alex Webb, all of whom graduated in 2015, are part of the team planning this weekend’s Ramadan Tent Project event, which will take place outside University Place at 8.30pm every evening between 10 and 14 June.
Ramadan Tent is a non-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation that has been hosting the Open Iftar (the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset) initiative for three years. Its aim is to unite the community over the simple act of sharing a meal, and to celebrate unity and cohesion throughout Manchester.
Everyone is welcome regardless of background, upbringing, ethnicity, gender, religion, belief etc.
