A buzzy good bye to Sue Johnson from SEED

(14 July 2017)

Sue Johnson, PA for Geography, Architecture and Planning in the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED), is retiring. Sue has worked for SEED since its creation in 2004, before that with the Institute of Development Policy and Management and before that in other teams across the University.

Sue is a founding member of the UoM Busy Bees, the only workplace Women’s Institute (WI) group in the Lancashire Federation of WIs. Despite leaving the WI at the University, Sue is keen to extend a warm welcome to any female colleagues and students who might be interested in joining the Busy Bees which meets on Thursday lunchtimes from 1-2pm. The first Thursday of every month is the official monthly meeting where the Busy Bees have a guest speaker or an activity. All other Thursdays are more informal meetings.  The Busy Bees take part in the WI’s national resolutions, and look for ways they can support these important campaigns, a good example being the recent Organ Donation campaign.
