Get involved in Giving Tuesday on 28 November
(22 November 2017)
#Giving Tuesday, an international day of doing good stuff for charity, takes place on the 28 November and over the last few weeks we have been running a series of articles promoting ways in which the University can support you in donating your time, skills or money to help causes close to your heart.
The organisation Action for Happiness tells us that helping others is not only good for them, but also makes us happier and healthier too, so giving can be very good for everyone’s wellbeing.
Our highlights have included payroll giving, mentoring and becoming a volunteer school governor, but there are lots of other ways you can get involved if you want to and we have highlighted some of the opportunities in the new Making a Difference leaflet.
- To celebrate Giving Tuesday there are various activities taking place across campus open for everyone. You can find out more about these on the StaffNet Social Responsibility pages.
