Social Justice Challenge: what you need to know

(18 January 2018)

The Social Justice Challenge is the Ethical Grand Challenge for 2nd Year undergraduates. It comprises an introduction and four themes: higher education, mental health, trade and energy. Each theme is explored using a mix of film and short interactive activities, giving students access to expert views from across The University of Manchester and beyond.

A guide for staff has been produced that includes all the information you need to know about the Challenge to support your students. The two-page guide includes the key messages of the Challenge at a glance, followed by the key facts in the form of short questions and answers.

  • You can download the guide from the Ethical Grand Challenges page of the website.

The Social Justice Challenge is part of Stellify and counts towards the Manchester Leadership Award. It is open to all current second-year undergraduate students until 15 June 2018.
