12 Days of Christmas campaign - a seasonal success
(23 February 2018)
The Faculty of Humanities Marketing and Communications team contributed three videos as part of the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ social media campaign led by the Faculty of Medicine, Biology and Health. Social media users learned why we can’t see Santa in the night sky over the UK (Geography), how to write a catchy Christmas hit (Music), and whether Santa is a good manager (Law).
The videos, featuring staff from Geography, Law and Music, were posted by the central social media team and cross-posted from School social media accounts. The Humanities videos gained a 41,694 reach, with 8,795 video views and were among the best performers of the whole campaign, getting the top three highest statistics for each measure of success.
The campaign is an example of innovative campaign planning by the Faculty web and marketing teams. It aimed to get the word out about our expertise and services, including the Legal Advice Centre, in an accessible way that makes the most of the spirit of the season. It demonstrates the value of working across Faculties, across teams, and in a close working relationship with the Division of Communications and Marketing, and shows that we can successfully engage with our audiences through fun content.
