Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey launches next week
(1 March 2018)
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is the only UK higher education sector-wide survey to gain insight from taught postgraduate students about their learning and teaching experience. It is designed by the Higher Education Academy but administered by individual institutions.
Institutions are not obliged to participate. Unlike the NSS, each institution’s results are confidential and so cannot be used to form league tables etc, but aggregated results at a national level and by mission group (eg the Russell Group) are available. This means results can be used to benchmark the University's own performance, for strategic planning purposes and for enhancement of the student experience.
Please can staff who work with taught postgraduate students encourage them to take part and give their feedback. To support you in this, the Student Marketing and Communications team is distributing posters and postcards to Schools. The team has also provided a toolkit including digital signage, poster and email footer which you can download from StaffNet.
- You can find out more about the PTES on the HEA website.
