Degree awarded: Master of Arts
Duration: 24 Months, distance-learning (September start)
Entry requirements: MA applicants must hold a minimum Upper Second Class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a relevant subject (e.g. medicine, law, philosophy, nursing, religious studies).
Candidates without a first degree may register initially for the Postgraduate Diploma and will be considered for transfer to the MA mid-session, subject to meeting the requirements of the MA programme.
Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma without a first degree must be able to demonstrate at least three years career progression in one of the several so-called `caring professions', or the legal or para-legal professions. Candidates may be asked to provide examples of their written work.
Course fees: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:
- MA (part-time distance learning)
UK/EU students: £3,150
International students: £13,000 over two years - PGDip (part-time distance learning)
UK/EU students: £2,100
International students: £8,660 over two years
The International fee quoted above is the full fee for the 2 years of study, the UK/EU figure is for one year of study.
The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.
All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for the campus based UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students and for students studying our course by distance learning , for the course duration at the year of entry).
