Centre for the Study of Political Economy (CSPE)
The Centre for the Study of Political Economy (CSPE) at the University of Manchester coheres around the goal of consolidating a recognised centre of world-leading excellence in the field of political economy. CSPE brings together some 70 colleagues at Manchester from the School of Social Sciences, the School of Environment and Development, Manchester Business School and the School of Law, and aims to build strong collaborative links with interested organisations, individuals and groups across the world.
The research agenda of CSPE revolves around the core aims of reviving the notion of political economy as a field, advancing a concretely interdisciplinary approach to its study and generating research into key issues of contemporary global concern on this basis.
