The Researcher Development Team
@ the Faculty of Humanities
The Faculty of Humanities Researcher Development Team works in collaboration with methods@manchester and artsmethods@manchester to offer relevant, effective and comprehensive professional development for researchers at various stages of their careers. We also work alongside other University training providers, each School in the Faculty and with Researcher Development teams in the other Faculties allowing for shared delivery of training events, and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to the development of first-class research skills.
By providing an embedded and holistic Researcher Development Programme, we aim to meet the expectations of the Research Councils, and to increase the impact of research-related training by adhering to the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) and encouraging researchers to assess their development by using the Vitae online CPD tool. Our programme is flexible enough to meet the needs of postgraduate students, research staff and academic staff, and robust enough to offer opportunities of real and practical value.
