Ilaria Di Bonito -Visiting student

Ilaria is interested in new media, politics and social movements and her PhD thesis is about on line electoral campaigns. She is visiting the ISC from 1st April to 30th June 2013 with the aim to develop a methodology for the analysis of the impact of social media on electoral communication strategies.

Dr Maria Berrittella - Honorary Research Fellow

Research on Public Economics - University of Palermo, Department of Economics - Palermo (Italy)

Maria will be visiting the institute 1st September 2010 - 30th November 2010

Main aim of the visiting period at the Institute for Social Change will be the development of a research review to understand how education, employment, income or socio-economic class affects the group-based inequalities.

Professor Pauline Côté - Honorary Research Fellow

Professor - Laval University, Canada

Pauline will visit Manchester between 31st January and 8th April 2011

Her interest is in religion, political participation and electoral behaviour.

Professor Robert S. Erikson - Hallsworth Visiting Professorships in 2010-2011

Professor - Columbia University, New York

Robert will visit Manchester for four weeks during the May-June interval of 2011.

His interest is in the study of elections and public opinion.

Dr Clive Field OBE - Honorary Research Fellow

Clive is Co-Director of British Religion in Numbers, an online data resource hosted by ISC.

A historian by training, and a librarian by career, much of his own recent academic research and publications have been in the historical and contemporary aspects of British religious statistics.

Additionally, he is active nationally in the fields of archives and Methodist history and chairs the editorial board of the Bulletin of the John Rylands University Library of Manchester.

Alissa Goodman - Honorary Research Fellow

Deputy director of Institute for Fiscal Studies and director of the education, employment and evaluation research sector.

Alissa will be working on a SCHMI project on Inequality - Family income, education and its role in social mobility in the UK and the US.

Kathleen will be working on a SCHMI project on Inequality - Fragile Families in the U.K. and U.S.

Lindsey MacMillan - Honorary Research Fellow

Lindsey is currently a visiting research fellow at the Saguaro Seminar, is an ongoing initiative of Professor Robert D. Putnam at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Lindsay will be working on a SCHMI project on Inequality - Family income, education and its role in social mobility in the UK and the US.

Caitlin Cole Milazzo - Visiting student

Department of Political Science University of California, Davis

Caitlin is focusing on the effects of constituency level competition in Britain, thorugh sponsorship by the Political Science Dissertation Fellowship she is visiting the Institute 1st September to 30th November to conduct interviews of local party elites and citizens in both marginal and safe constituencies.

Pieter-Paul is visiting ISC between 10th January and 29th May 2011. His research interests are Social capital and social networks, Ethnicity and Social Stratification.

Andy is Director of the eDemocracy at the Hansard Society. He has an extensive background in research and consultancy relating to digital media and social policy with a focus on political communication and digital engagement.
