Visiting Academics/Students to The Institute for Social Change

The Institute for Social Change (ISC) welcomes enquiries from academics and research students/scholars about opportunities to visit and work on topics relevant to our research interests. In any such arrangement a premium is placed on the establishment of mutually beneficial working relationships for members of staff and the relevance of the study to our overall research strategy. All potential academic visitors to the ISC will be required to submit a formal application to the ISC Research Committee. This includes completion of a statement of intent and short CV. For further details click here.

Harvard-Manchester Social Change Exchange Programme

Applications for research visits to Harvard University are invited from graduate students and academic staff in the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Manchester. This programme is part of a wider Harvard-Manchester collaboration, Social Change: a Harvard-Manchester Initiative.

Changing Patterns of Participation and Representation in Europe

ISC is a founder member of the Scientific Research Network for collaborative research into The Changing Pattern of Political Participation and Representation in

Europe, established by the Flemish Research Foundation FWO.

The network is offering Visiting Postdoctoral Fellowships for Manchester researchers to visit Belgium for a period of 3 to 12 months. The fellowships include travel and a living allowance of 2,000 Euro per month. For further details please contact Marc Hooghe (Chair) or Sofie Marien (Secretary).
