Social Change: A Joint Project of Harvard and Manchester

The 'Harvard - Manchester Social Change' initiative organises summer workshops to bring together faculty and graduate students from the US and UK.

The workshops are directed by faculty from Harvard University and the University of Manchester and feature leading experts in academia and government.

Workshop delegates present and discuss the political, social and economic issues associated with social change, and its effects on factors such as race relations, social stratification, civil society, the role of government and social integration at local and national level.

The 2008 workshop are open to graduate students in the social sciences at British or American universities who are working or planning to work on immigration.
