Choosing Course Units

Being able to choose which course units to study allows you to tailor your degree programme to your own interests, abilities and ambitions.
The Faculty of Humanities offers you an enviable range of courses to choose from. Some degree programmes afford you less freedom than others in terms of choosing which course units to study: Programmes with clear vocational focus, such as Law or Architecture for example, obviously have to ensure you’ve covered the key elements of knowledge and skills required by those professions.
That said, it’s extremely rare for a programme not to allow you some level of choice in the course units you study.
