Statistics
Statistics may be described as:
- exploring, analysing and summarising data;
- designing or choosing appropriate ways of collecting data and extracting information from them;
- communicating that information
Statistics also involves "constructing and testing models for describing chance phenomena" (Chambers English Dictionary).

Statsoft is an electronic statistics textbook which covers a wide range of statistical topics, particularly application of statistics. The material covered is ideal for both undergraduates and postgraduate students.
Hyperstat is a similar resource which covers a range of topics, including, probability, confidence interval and hypothesis testing.
