Teaching and Learning in Humanities

Development of Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Humanities is supported by the Teaching and Learning Team and the eLearning Team. Both teams work to facilitate the enhancement of teaching, learning, assessment and student support through the Humanities E-Learning Network.

Humanities Teaching and Learning Team

The Humanities Teaching and Learning Team is based in Devonshire House, and brings together the staff of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Office and the Senior Taught Programmes Administrator. The team works with staff in central administrative offices, School Postgraduate Taught and Undergraduate Directors, and staff with administrative responsibility for these areas. Project work is also undertaken with individual members of staff in Schools.

The Humanities eLearning Team focus specifically on eLearning in the curriculum and provide hands-on support, training, advice and guidance for the development of teaching and learning through the use of a variety of electronic resources, including the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The VLE from September 2011 is Blackboard 9.
