    The bid for retention funding

The blogs were produced by students and feature on the school website to help prospective students gain a real-life insight into what it is like to study at MBS. Many applicants cannot attend on-campus recruitment or conversion events and never have the opportunity to meet current students. The blogs were funded by retention funding in 2011-12 and aim to provide prospective students with a stronger insight into what it is like to study business and management at University level as well as the social aspect of life at Manchester.

Benefits:

The key benefits are to improve the recruitment, transition and retention by informing potential students about the study life at the AMBS before joining in. Students want real insights from current students and trust user-generated content more than more traditional marketing. This becomes very helpful for students whom cannot attend on-campus recruitment or conversion events and never have the opportunity to meet current students Other schools may also find such approach useful aiming for the same benefits and enhancing the student experience. The project was completed in 2011. It would be ideal to have uptodate blogs contents and make the stakeholders aware of these resources
