A live event for postgraduate and early career researchers to co-design research project ideas with industry partners

This online event is designed for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers and industry partners working together as part of the Collaboration Labs programme.

Event information

Organised by: Collaboration Labs with financial support from the ESRC/IAA.

Open to: Humanities and Social Science doctoral and post-doctoral researchers of the Universities of Manchester, Lancaster, Liverpool, Keele and NWSSDTP/NWCDTP funded doctoral researchers who are participating to Collaboration Labs. 


The session will be very practical, with a number of group activities that will give you the opportunity to apply a step-by-step process of participatory project design to kickstart your collaboration with your project partner. By participating in this event, you will be able to:

  • apply your PhD expertise to develop project ideas that create value and positive impact on a business partner/context
  • follow a structured approach to create collaborative projects with non-University partners 
  • develop synergies with your selected project partner and build the ground for a successful project collaboration.  

About the tutor 

FutureEverything is an award-winning innovation lab and cultural social enterprise established in 1995, which has helped shape the emergence of digital culture in Europe. George Konstantakopoulos is the Business Innovation Lead at FutureEverything where he facilitates workshops to shape collaborations between the Arts, Industry and Academia for a number of organisations among which the Doctoral Training Partnership. George is also a mentor and a coach in shaping ideas has a postgraduate research masters in Entrepreneurship and is the founder of Manchester Social Entrepreneurs.
