  • Anna Lopez (BASS Sociology) worked with Greater Manchester Poverty Action to quantify UK poverty levels.
  • Benjamin McGowan (BASS Politics and Sociology) worked within the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK on the project Data Elaboration for the Survey of Italian investments in the UK.
  • Christopher Hall (BA Politics, Philosophy and Economics) researched regional and development inequalities for Levelling up with the Policy@Manchester team.
  • Giorgia Ravera (BSocSc Politics and International Relations) interned at Manchester City Council and analysed social care staff feedback.

  • Ines Mackenzie-Hardy (BA Politics, Philosophy and Economics) completed her internship with IPPR to confront the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Isobel Crowne (BASS Sociology and Data Analytics) was an intern at the Home Office in the Central Analytical Services and explored the gender pay gap.
  • Jessica Dunnett (BASS Politics and Criminology) worked at The Home Office in the Central Analytics services and gained an understanding of international conflict and instability.
  • Lauren Ferguson (BA Criminology) assisted the British Youth Council on their health and wellbeing report which focused on empowering young people's opinions through data analysis.
  • Leah Scott (BA English Language) worked at the UK Data Service using the census 2021 data for social analysis.
  • Leila Peltier (BA Chinese and Linguistics) interned at the UK Data Service exploring natural language processing with qualitative data.
  • Lilly Crellin (BA Criminology) completed her internship at Her Majesty's Prison and Probation service exploring offender hub activities.

  • Pawel Swiatkowski (BA Politics, Philosophy and Economics) was a data fellow at the Centre for Local Economic Strategies and explored connecting public spending and levelling up.
  • Shakira Begum (BASS Criminology and Sociology) worked for the Civic University Board on a project promoting inclusive growth across the city region.
  • Siyu Li (BSocSc Sociology) completed her data fellowship at the University of Manchester on the project Capturing Transformative Stories: How does experiential learning through data fellowships benefit students and employers?

  • Tabita-Gabriela Juravle (BA Economics with Politics) worked with the Ditchley Foundation on the project Bridging Divides with The Ditchley Foundation.
  • Tegan Massey (BSocSc Politics and International Relations) interned for the Northern Powerhouse Partnership and looked at foreign investment in the north of England.
