Collaborative doctoral programmes
Some of our supervisor-led funded PhD projects are supported through the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA) scheme and the ESRC CASE studentship scheme.
Successful applicants will be offered a fully funded, three-year PhD project, including tuition fees and a UKRI-aligned maintenance stipend.
These awards support partnerships between the University and external organisations, offering opportunities to carry out research that delivers real-world impact while strengthening your professional profile.
You’ll gain access to resources, expertise and networks beyond the University, helping to build long-term connections that benefit all partners.
