What our students say

Monet Page, BA Drama and Film Studies Graduate

"I graduated from my degree in 2023, where I had discovered a love for the television industry, especially production. Now my role involves the facilitation of crewing, with my primary focus being the recruitment of staff for Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

My course helped me to develop many key skills which have aided me throughout my career so far."

Talent and Contracting Assistant – ITV Studios.

Monet Page

Jasmine Rowland, BA Drama and English Literature Graduate

"I currently work in radio with the BBC & Bauer Media for the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music, KISS and Radio 2.

One thing I can’t not mention is the Documentary to Mockumentary part of my course that I took part in – this was led by an incredible lecturer who I am still in touch with!

The most important advice I’d say is it ENJOY being a student. Don’t be hard on yourself, just enjoy the ride."

Freelance Radio Producer, Host, DJ & Sound Engineer.

Jasmine Rowland

Giulia Grillo, BA Drama Graduate

"I never seriously thought about becoming a director. It was the friends and lecturers I met during my degree who told me I had potential as a director and gave me the right opportunities.

I got into directing shows for the Drama Society and studied Directing in my third year. Since then I have completed an MFA in Theatre Directing at the Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art and I have been directing various shows in Manchester and London."
